Hello, and welcome to Mystic Elegance Home Page! I have been involved with breeding, raising, and showing animals of all types since the
age of 5. I started with a bred doe (rabbit) purchased from the local feed store for 75 cents. I took this doe home, along with a $1.20 bag
of rabbit feed, and an old mink cage I got for free. Ebony was a black crossbred doe, and her 11 bunnies were born 5 days later. She
raised her bunnies, most of which I sold back to the feed store for $0.50 each, along with the mom for $0.75. Needless to say I was
hooked! I had doubled my B-day money and saved back my favorite for a pet.
Over the next 10 years, I aquired more breeds, made my own bloodlines, and studied the coat color genetics of these rabbits. This was
very important in the direction of my life. Eventually I became the top youth breeder of French Angora rabbits in the country, and had as
many as 608 rabbits at one point. I won Best of Breed in all my breeds at my first Nationals, as well as many Best in Show wins. I was also
first in the sweepstakes for my breeds 3-5 years in a row. During this time, I was introduced to quality show pugs imported from England,
and again, I was hooked! I showed the black female and I was hooked......

I have raised pugs for 10 years. Working on developing a HEALTHY black show pug, that is first and foremost a
happy family pet. I have a great deal of experience with the inbreeding required to produce top show animals, I just
refuse to inbreed pugs, as I feel that they have enough health challenges inherent in their form. All my pugs have
clearances for health before breeding. The DNA of all my adult dogs has been examined for have been examined for
known dog genetic mutations.

Short Coated Chihuahuas: I started with a bred female (Tina) that I traded for a pair of black pugs. She was bred
to a Canadian Champion who was a Blue Fawn. She had three puppies, a HUGE cream male (Pedro-pet), a fawn
male (Pop-shown), and a fawn and white female (Tiny). I bred her later to Rickey (below) to get "Salt" and
"Pepper"-who were stolen! I re-did this breeding but never again got as perfect of puppies as these two were.
